The third race of Round 2 of the 2012 Dunlop Series for V8 Supercars has rewarded Ash Walsh with another top 10 result. The simPRO Falcon driver has backed up strong results in the first two races to finish in 6th place today. Ash Walsh scored his first Top 3 V8 Supercar result at Barbagallo Raceway in Perth with a superb 2nd place in race 1. In wet and treacherous conditions Walsh did not put a foot wrong in the #87 simPRO BF Falcon and delivered not only his but Matt Stone Racing’s first top 3 result.
The good form started in Qualifying when Walsh vaulted up to P1 on the tine sheets with only 5 minutes to go. With a red flag near the end of the session, Walsh had used the best of his tyres and along with other front runners waited nervously in the pits with his MSR crew. Only Scott Pye in the T888 Commodore went quicker and Ash lined up on the front row of the grid for Race 1. Continue reading
