simPRO Racing Team driver Ash Walsh has finished the weekend with a superb fourth place in the final 22 lap race to cement a fourth place overall for the round at Queensland Raceway today. The day started well in the reverse top 10 race for Ash as he was involved in a monumental tussle with the lead group coming home in third place.
Starting in sixth place he was quickly up to fourth place. A titanic battle between Walsh, McLaughlin and Jones saw Ash briefly to third only to see Percat take back the place on the next lap. The simPRO Falcon was on the limit as Ash held a lurid slide through turn 1 on the following lap and in the end crossed the line in a fine third place. Continue reading

simPRO Racing Team driver Ash Walsh has finished the opening day of practice at Round 4 of the 2012 Dunlop Series in an excellent fourth place overall. The 25 car field ran two x 40 minute practice sessions today in preparation for qualifying and the first of three races tomorrow. In fine conditions Walsh was out of the blocks quickly putting the #87 simPRO Falcon into first position in the opening practice. The Matt Stone Racing Team undertook a test day a week ago here at Queensland Raceway and was quietly confident that the ex Stone Bros Falcon had again found some good speed. Continue reading
simPRO Racing Team driver Ash Walsh is looking forward to a strong weekend as he pilots the #87 Matt Stone Racing Falcon in Round 4 of the 2012 Dunlop Series at Queensland Raceway. The Ipswich based driver has done many laps at the famous Queensland ‘paper clip’ track but does not see any real advantage over any other track the series visits.
