Ash Walsh has today announced a major association with national pharmacy brand Infants’ Friend to spearhead his 2013 Dunlop Series campaign. The Queensland driver will again run the #87 ex Stone Bros FG Falcon for the Matt Stone Racing team after a very successful season in 2012.
The off season has been busy for Walsh and his management group primarily focused on putting the budget together for the 2013 season. Walsh was delighted to announce an expansion of the relationship with Infants’ Friend from 2012 to step up the naming rights position in 2013.
“We were really happy that the Infants’ Friend team reviewed the results of 2012 and came back bigger and better.” Walsh said. “The Dunlop Series this year will be super competitive so to be able to stay put with Matt Stone Racing with increased sponsorship support is a great outcome. I am itching to get to Adelaide!” Ash added.
Infants’ Friend Managing Director Neil McPhillips outlined the primary objective of the sponsorship at the launch. “We have an Australian range of very successful baby products that have been around for nearly 80 years. We saw a great opportunity to connect with young families with V8 Supercars and in turn give our brands exposure in markets we don’t normally access thorough our retail promotion. The feedback from our sales force in 2012 was better than we had anticipated so we decided to forge ahead and back Ash for his 2013 Dunlop Series campaign” McPhillips said.
MSR boss Matt Stone was delighted to re sign Walsh for 2013. “2012 was a big step for MSR and we believed Ash could really help move our team further up the grid. We have a great engineering team in place and the stability of the driver as part of the team this year should put us right at the pointy end.” Stone said.
The striking new livery of the MSR FG Falcon will be seen for the first time in Adelaide at the Clipsal 500 later this month.
