Ipswich V8 Supercar driver Ash Walsh ready to go on home track

simPRO Racing Team driver Ash Walsh is looking forward to a strong weekend as he pilots the #87 Matt Stone Racing Falcon in Round 4 of the 2012 Dunlop Series at Queensland Raceway. The Ipswich based driver has done many laps at the famous Queensland ‘paper clip’ track but does not see any real advantage over any other track the series visits.

“Queensland Raceway is our test track so in theory we should be strong, however the teams at the front of the Dunlop Series field are all 1st class operations so we just view it as another race” Ash said as the team unloaded today

“We have, however, had another really productive test day last week, so I am very happy with the team and the way we are growing in strength this year. I reckon last week was our strongest test yet so I am looking to hit the track on Friday with a fast car.” Walsh added.

The Dunlop Series now moves into the second half of the year with major events still to come on the calendar. Ash Walsh currently sits in 6th place overall in the 2012 Dunlop Series Championship.

The Dunlop Series will contest three races at Queensland Raceway this weekend with Race 1 on Saturday and Race 3 on Sunday forming part of Network 7’s live coverage.
