About Ash Walsh
Ash Walsh is an Australian racing driver whose career has moved from karting titles to touring cars and sports car competition in Australia and Europe.
Biography
Ash Walsh builds his career from the ground up. He was the Australian Karting Champion in 2003, then moved into car racing in Europe, competing in the Formula Renault Western European Championship. In September 2008 he finished seventh at the Le Mans circuit in France during the Western European Championship.
Back in Australia he joined the V8 Supercars Development Series, the Dunlop Series, driving for Infants' Friend, and topped the time sheets during Perth Dunlop Series practice in May 2014.
He secured a full-time seat in the BNT V8 SuperTourer series in February 2013 and was a BNT V8 SuperTourer driver through that season. In May 2012 he was featured in the Queensland Times newspaper.
In December 2015 Ash Walsh joined the 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup Championship after parting ways with V8 Supercars team Erebus Motorsport following the break-up of the 2015 season. In August 2016 he finished fourth overall in the Porsche Carrera Cup after Round 3, and has competed in the series since 2016.
